  • I'm sorry I've been gone so long.  Somehow "the winter of our discontent," if the phrase is taken entirely out of context, seems to fit SAD.

On a more happy note, my sciatica hasn't bothered me since we returned from our visit to Oklahoma City in late December.  Evidently long car rides exacerbate sciatica because of the long periods of just sitting.  However, my new medicine is good enough that, as long as I stay in the metro area, I forget that I have sciatica.

It's amazing how much you can appreciate the absence of pain.

I'll keep this short today because I need to work on my guild's challenge quilt in order to be able to pin it tomorrow when I'm in Overland Park.

  • glad you're feeling better.

  • RYC: Thank you!

I'm actually thinking of not going to Washburn or anywhere. I'm thinking of just moving to Topeka or Lawrence and doing fine dining and making a whole bunch of money on tips and working on my portfolio as a writer so I can be a political columnist or speechwriter. It just seems like college is a waste of time and school is just going to take away from the important things I want to do.

    What are your current plans?

  • When are you going back to...wherever you're living these days? Are you going to church tomorrow?

Yeah. SAD is evil. But I don't think I've had it in a while. I still can't figure out why they were stupid enough to give a form of depression a name that has SAD as its acronym.

  • The absence of pain would be nice.  I hope you'll post of picture of your challenge quilt when you get it finished.
